Free Fire OB40 Advance Server has been active for the past few days, unveiling the content likely to be added in the upcoming update. The specific test server will be active for one more week, until May 29, giving the community ample time to test the features and report the bugs they encounter. Not only will reporting the issues help the developers fix them, but it will also give players an opportunity to get free diamonds in the game.
Among the main highlights in the OB40 Advance Server are the Sonia character, Awakened Alok, Pug pet, Gloo maker feature, and more. In the section below, find out more about the ones likely to be added in the OB40 update.
Advance Server features that are expected in Free Fire OB40 update
1) Pug pet
Pug is a main attraction of the OB40 Advance Server and will likely get introduced through the upcoming update. Just like all the other pets, Garena may add it via a top-up event, following which it will be present in the in-game store.
The pet doesn’t possess a unique skill in the battle royale title and would simply be a companion on the side. However, individuals may equip the skills of other pets in him, making him a worthy purchase for the looks he possesses.
2) Character reworks
The developers have reworked the abilities of several characters, as seen in the Advance Server. The ones affected are Dimitri, Thiva, Kapella, and Olivia, and their existing skills have been entirely changed. The alterations will try to bring more balance to the gameplay and will make these characters viable selections moving ahead.
The revised abilities in the OB40 Advance Server may also undergo minor changes in order to be well-optimized before being included in the next update.
3) Changed UI and more
In an attempt to improve the overall experience, the Free Fire OB40 update will include UI modifications to allow individuals to navigate more efficiently, with the Advance Server giving an idea about the same. These consist of the changes to the lobby screen and more. Another vital addition is the ability to launch a game right after getting the Booyah, which wasn’t the case before.
Apart from this, the BR mode’s pre-match lobby will also be altered, and players will now directly spawn inside a plane-like structure with only a short waiting period.
4) Gloo maker in BR-Ranked
Earlier, getting Gloo Walls in Free Fire’s Battle Royale mode was based on luck, and those who found it on the ground had the advantage. To change the same, Gloo makers will be present in the BR-Ranked mode, giving everyone an equal opportunity to receive the Gloo Wall grenades.
This will be one of the most anticipated changes of the Free Fire OB40 update, as many in the community have previously complained about the resource’s imbalanced availability.
5) New Sonia and Awakened Alok characters
Characters are something that most players look forward to in Free Fire Advance Servers. In OB40, two new ones have been introduced in the form of Sonia and Awakened Alok.
The former possesses a passive ability called Nano Lifeshield, which sends players into an invulnerable and immobile state after taking fatal damage. Following this, a 150 HP shield emerges, lasting for six seconds. If the user takes down the enemy during the shield period, they restore the same HP amount as the shield. However, in case they fail, they get eliminated. This has a cooldown of 150 seconds.
Coming to Awakened Alok, he possesses an ability called Party Remix, which adds to the character’s Drop the Beat ability. While the aura is active, music notes lasting for five seconds get dropped every two seconds. The notes are two meters behind the player, and the teammates who pick them up get the same effect as the aura.
