Uttarakhand’s Uniform Civil Code draft is complete
Drafting of the uniform Civil Code of Uttarakhand is now complete, Retd Supreme Court Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai announced on Friday, reported ANI. “It gives me immense pleasure to inform you that the drafting of the proposed Uniform Civil Code of Uttarakhand is now complete. The report of the expert committee along with the draft will be printed and submitted to the Government of Uttarakhand,” Desai said.

J-K L-G flags off first batch of Amarnath pilgrims
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has flagged off the first batch of pilgrims for the annual Amarnath Yatra from the Bhagwati Nagar camp. Amid multi-layer security, the first batch of more than 3,400 pilgrims left for the twin base camps in Kashmir to undertake the pilgrimage to the 3,880-metre-high cave shrine of Lord Shiva in the south Kashmir Himalayas.
